The Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Science of the Junta de Andalucía has agreed to establish a collaboration with the governments of Chile and Argentina in terms of free software in order to establish mechanisms for technology transfer in eGovernment among these countries and assist in the development of social innovation projects through ICT. The framework of collaboration has been raised by these countries to the Andalusian government during their visit to our community to celebrate the Granada International Free Software Conference, included in the Más Digital event.

The 2012 Open Source World Conference (OSWC), an event organized by the Economy, Innova-tion and Science Ministry during the Más Digital's time frame alongside with the Guadalinfo Dyna-mizers Meeting, held today its official conference with fifteen debate tables set around five main thematic lines that covered the most relevant aspects of the open source realm, be it from the point of view of the final user, as the technical point of view and the business perspective. In total, more than 800 people filled the halls of the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos de Granada to watch the lectures. The conference had Nocholas Negroponte was the key figure of the Más Digital event, that in-cludes the OSWC. After the speech of the Andalusian Government's president, José Antonio Griñán, the founder and director of the MIT Media Lab closed the program with a plenary session hosted by José María Álvarez-Pallete, president of Telefónica Europa, before the over 2.000 participants of the Open Source World Conference and Guadalinfo Dynamizers Meeting.

The parallel events were the central figures of the first day of the 2012 Open Source World Confe-rence (OSWC), an event organized by the Economy, Innovation and Science Ministry during the time frame of the Más Digital event, were the Guadalinfo Dynamizers Meeting is also included. During this weekend, Granada is going to catch the world’s attention related with free software and new technologies celebrating the Más Digital event, that will gather during the 12th and 13th of January over 2.000 people in the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos of the Andalusian city. The forum, organized by the Junta of Andalusia through the Economy, Innovation and Science Ministry, includes two high-level events: the Open Source World Conference, one of the largest european events promoting a sustainable technological model based on open standards, and the Guadalinfo Dynamizers Meeting, the public network for Andalusian social innovation. Más Digital’s details have been presented this morning to the media in the Andalusian government headquarters by the Economy, Innovation and Science Ministry's delegate, Antonio Argüelles, and the director of the Fernando de los Ríos Consortium, Juan Francisco Delgado.

The 2012 Open Source World Conference (OSWC) is going to dedicate one of its tables to the open source technology development in the university sphere. So, during the 13th of January a debate will be held with the presence of Francisco Triguero, secretary general of Universities, Investigation and Technology for the Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Science; Juan Julián Merelo, professor,  holder and responsible for the Free Software Office of the University of Granada; Elena Marrero Méndez and Pablo Suárez Hernández, from the University of La Laguna, and  Manuel  Palomo Duarte, director of the Free Software and Open Knowledge office of the University of Cadiz. Also participating in this meeting are the Universities of Salamanca and Cordoba.
